These Terms govern use of the WKM website, mobile applications, reservations, events, business dashboard, messaging, Sparks, relationship mode, social discovery tools, and related services. See also the Privacy Policy, AI Disclosure, and Delete Account pages.
Welcome to Why Knot Me ("WKM," "Why Knot Me," "we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Why Knot Me platform, including our website, mobile applications, reservations system, events, business dashboard, messaging systems, matchmaking features, Sparks system, relationship mode features, social discovery tools, and related services.
By accessing or using Why Knot Me, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, have legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement, and not be prohibited from using the Services under applicable law.
2. About Why Knot Me
Why Knot Me is a social discovery, hospitality, relationship, reservation, and matchmaking platform. WKM is a technology platform only and does not own or operate third party venues unless expressly stated.
Why Knot Me provides personalized dating and venue discovery. Recommendations may be influenced by your profile, preferences, and in-app activity. We may update recommendation systems over time without notice. See the Privacy Policy and AI Disclosure for more information.
3. Accounts and Accuracy
You are responsible for accurate account information, profile information, relationship settings, business information, and reservation details. You may not impersonate others, create fake accounts, or misrepresent yourself or a business.
4. User Conduct
You may not harass, threaten, stalk, exploit, discriminate, scam, spam, scrape, reverse engineer, disrupt, or misuse WKM. You may not use WKM for illegal activity or unsafe real world conduct.
5. Sparks, Matchmaking, and Recommendations
Sparks, matches, likes, comments, and venue or plan suggestions are informational and may be personalized based on your activity and preferences. WKM does not guarantee compatibility, attraction, attendance, chemistry, relationship success, friendship outcomes, or venue outcomes.
6. Reservations, Events, and Businesses
WKM may help users request, coordinate, modify, confirm, or cancel reservations and experiences. Venues, organizers, and businesses remain responsible for operations, availability, seating, safety, accessibility, alcohol compliance, cancellations, refunds, and event fulfillment.
7. Payments and Subscriptions
Paid services may be processed through third party providers such as Stripe, Apple, Google, or other processors. Payment terms, refunds, cancellations, and subscription renewals may be governed by additional policies and provider terms.
8. Privacy and Safety
Use of WKM is also governed by our Privacy Policy, Safety Policy, AI & Recommendation Disclosure, Reservation Terms, Business Partner Agreement, Payments Policy, and other legal policies shown in this Legal section.
9. Intellectual Property
WKM owns its platform, software, visual systems, brand, logo, trademarks, and "Taking the reservations out of dating™." You may not copy, misuse, reverse engineer, or exploit WKM intellectual property.
10. Disclaimers
The Services are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. WKM does not guarantee uptime, availability, compatibility, venue quality, safety outcomes, matches, reservations, events, relationship outcomes, or user conduct.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WKM shall not be liable for indirect damages, emotional distress, relationship outcomes, venue experiences, user conduct, event incidents, reservation disputes, injuries, lost profits, or consequential damages. WKM's total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you to WKM during the prior 12 months.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, subject to applicable consumer protection laws and nonwaivable rights.
